#DOWNLOAD FIREFOX 49.0.2 UPDATE#I don't think that the crashes have something common with Windows Update - it seems to be a coincidence. If you want to be sure it's not a conflict with FDM extension, you can exclude the website from FDM monitoring - just add the domain to "Skip list" in FDM monitoring options. Firefox may cache previous versions of the website with every refresh and if the website code is buggy, Firefox may never release used memory. It can use more RAM and should have more strict memory management.Ĭimba wrote:Another theory: the crash happened at the moment with tab in the background, tweetdeck has streaming updates for the tweets, therefore the browser (and fdm add-on?) has as constant, incomming traffic.īut I use tweetdeck also for month without any problems, therefore i think, it must also be a combination with the November Windows update.Your theory seems to be true. Monitor memory usage in task manager and close Firefox before it grows up to 1 GB. Closing tab may not help too much - browsers have "restore closed tab" option and may still cache many closed tabs. Limit your Firefox cache and close Firefox when you finish working with buggy websites (like in your case). You have more than one possible solution: In the best case it may lead to memory hogging, in the worst case Firefox may crash when running with >1.5 GB RAM used or when closing with > 1 GB RAM used. In real life both HTML5 rendering and JavaScript engines aren't perfect and may give unpredictable results when running buggy code.
